It’s that time again Canes! The defending 5A Boys WPIAL Basketball Champions are back and it’s playoff time in New Castle, Pennsylvania! The Running Red Hurricanes entered the WPIAL 5A playoffs as the number 2 seed. The Canes hosted 15th seed West Mifflin Titans on Monday, February 21st at the Ne-Ca-Hi field house, where they defeated them 85-52.

The Canes will now host the 10th seed Shaler Titans Thursday, February 24th at 7 pm, at the Ne-Ca-Hi Fieldhouse.  The winner of this game will take on the winner between 3rd seed Mars Planets and 6th Gateway Gators. This game will take place at the higher seed’s home court. This game is scheduled to be played on Monday, February 28th at 7 pm.
