What’s your New Year’s Resolution?

Stephanie Toy, Victoria Kobbe, Managing Editors

Every 12 months, as a new calendar year arrives, an essence of resurgence and rebirth motivates us as a people to shed our old habits and recreate ourselves in the new year. New Year’s resolutions are a plan of action; a goal of which to be attained in the new year. We asked eight people in the school to tell us their New Year’s resolutions.

Salvatore Sicciliano, Mathematician / Role Model: “I want to eat healthier and stick to it this year.”

Russel Carley, Scientist / Philosopher: “To follow a New Year’s resolution.”

Wade Zak, junior: “I want to stop biting my nails.”

Sophia Reider, junior: “I would like to be a better person, and maybe drop a few pounds.”

Alicia Fuge, senior: “To get all A’s my senior year.”

Professor Sarandrea (formerly Delgros / master of the French Language)  : “Quality over quantity in everything I do.”

John Michael (Jack) Bussard, class ginger/ clown: “Strive to be the best me possible”

Mr. Abe, (The Abe Way, wise man): “I would like to be a better listener.”

Fulfilled or unfulfilled, New Year’s resolutions are a good goal to set in order to strive to be the best that you can be in the New Year. Do you have a New Year’s Resolution?
