I had the honor to sit with Coach Kara Joseph, the head girl’s basketball coach here at New Castle. Enjoy the interview Canes!

Q- When is the girl’s first game?

December 2nd, 6:30pm

Q-What are you looking forward to this upcoming season?

Watching the girls grow as a team, watching them compete, and having fun. These years are the best years of their life and I want them to enjoy them.

How long have you been coaching girls’ basketball?

12 years

What inspired you to be a basketball coach?

My sister. She was my coach when I was in High School and she influenced me to work hard and never give up. That inspired me to instill that in these student-athletes.

What is your favorite part of being the coach for the girl’s basketball team?

I enjoy watching them grow into young ladies and accomplish their goals.
