I had the privilege of sitting down with my English teacher, here at New Castle, Mrs. Hogsett. Hope you enjoy getting to know her!

1. Where did you go to college?

I went to community college and then transferred to Slippery Rock University. 

2. What degrees do you hold?

I have a bachelor’s degree in secondary English education.

3. What do you teach?

I currently teach 9th and 10th-grade English and 11th-grade accelerated English

4. How long have you been teaching?

I have been teaching for 5 years

5. How has the school year been going for you?

The school year has been going well, I think it has been a great year so far. It has been full of positivity.

6. What is the biggest challenge this year?

My biggest challenge this year has been juggling the workload of teaching many different classes. 

7. What made you want to become a teacher?

I had a great English teacher during my Jr year in high school. She encouraged me to become an English teacher one day.

8. Where were you born and raised?

I was born in Butler and graduated from Butler High school.
