I had the pleasure of sitting down with Mr. Lee, the school musical director here at New Castle High School. Hope you enjoy the interview!

How long have you been the director of the musicals?

9 years

What is your favorite part about the musical?

Working with the high school kids in a different atmosphere

What made you pick The Little Mermaid this year?

We wanted to choose a show that was well-known, family-friendly, and people would enjoy coming to.

What are some things you are looking forward to?

I like the creative aspect of the show. It is going to push everyone’s boundaries. We get to be creative, we don’t think outside of the box, we create our own box.

What are some things you are excited about for the musical?

Costuming and the production number, we are excited about the talent.

What are some things you are nervous about?

The technical aspects of the show. We would like for students to get out of their comfort zone and come try out for the musical and become part of the family!
