What You’ll Need To Make Churros
- Baking sheets, parchment paper
- Medium saucepan
- Whisk
- Wooden spoon
- Piping bag/Pastry Bag
- Jug
- Ziplock bag
- Measuring cups and spoons
How To Make Churros
- Preheat the oven and place two baking sheets on top of each other and line with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, add water, brown sugar, salt, and butter. Place saucepan over medium heat.
- Once it’s simmering, whisk in the flour.
- Stir the dough around with a wooden spoon and cook for a minute on low heat.
- Combine eggs and vanilla in a jug and whisk.
- Using a wooden spoon, add a little egg mixture into the dough. Stir and mash.
- Continue adding the eggs until combined.
- Transfer dough to a pastry bag fitted with a star nozzle.
- Carefully pipe dough into churros on the pans, leaving two inches between each churro.
- Bake the churros until golden brown and then let the cooked churros rest for 10 minutes.
- Take the churros and add one or two churros at a time to a Ziplock bag filled with sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Toss until well covered.
- Enjoy the churros with hot chocolate or ice cream. Use some paper towels just in case it gets a little messy!
