Eric Groves is a New Castle senior and vital member of the Eye of The Hurricane team. Eric will soon be leaving New Castle High School for bigger and better opportunities. Luckily, I had the chance to sit down with him and look back on his time at New Castle High School-David Cumo 

Q: What was your favorite part of High School?

A: Being in the band and being a part of the musical because it was a ton of fun and really helped shape the person I am today.

Q: What was your favorite musical to have been a part of?

A: Definitely Hairspray. I was just such a fun show and it was a great finale for the last four years.

Q: What instrument did you play in the band?

A: I play Alto Saxophone.

Q: What’s your favorite class in school?

A: Biology and English.

Q: What classes are you taking this year?
A: AP English, AP Biology, Honors French V, AP Calculus, AP Economics

Q: Where will you be attending college?

A: I will be attending UNC at Chapel Hill.

Q: What is one thing you would change about your experience at New Castle High School?

A: I wish our teachers could coordinate better so we wouldn’t have many tests on the same day.

Q: Overall, did you enjoy your time at New Castle High School?

A: Absolutely, I loved it here and wish I would’ve always went here from the start.
