I had the pleasure of interviewing a member of the Red Hurricane Baseball team, Eddie Lutton.  A fellow sophomore and baseball lover, Eddie has been playing baseball for eleven years. This opportunity gave me new insight into my teammate’s passion and love of the game. Read on to find out some interesting facts that Eddie shared with me.

Q. Why do you like baseball?

A. I like baseball because it is a game that you can always become better.

Q. What is your position?

A. I play outfield and pitcher.

Q. How many years have you been playing baseball?

A. I’ve played for eleven years and counting.

Q. What does your upcoming season look like?

A. It is looking well. I am optimistic and excited about this upcoming season.

Q. Is it difficult to play baseball?

A. It is a great sport to start playing. Once you learn how to play and swing the bat, it becomes natural.

Q. How does baseball affect your life?

A. I rarely have free time, and sometimes it becomes hard to juggle school-work and practice.

Q. Who is the Varsity Baseball Coach this year?

A. Coach Billy Cook is the new Varsity Baseball coach.

Q. Would you like to continue until graduation?

A. Yes, I hope to play baseball throughout high school.

Q. What is your preparation for the season?

A. Staying in shape is essential, and keeping up with batting practice helps me stay current.

Q. Is baseball your favorite sport?

A. Yes!  I will love the game for a lifetime.
