Senior Perspective Business Week

Senior Perspective Business Week

Sophia Rapone, Senior Editor

Pennsylvania Business Week was developed in 1997 in order to provide high school students with experience in managing and operating a company. Some of the things we learned to do were manage finances, work with a team of people you may not have known, create a product to sell, and learn how to sell that product efficiently. Although many students dread Business Week, the importance of it is clearly shown after it is over and done with. In school, economics is not a required subject that you have to take. Therefore, many students only know little or nothing at all about our economic system. Business Week allows students to not only learn about our economic system, but also experience it in a simulation. Although I was not a big fan of Business Week at first, I now understand why it is so important and appreciate that New Castle participates in such a thing. Overall, Business Week was a great success among the New Castle Seniors of 2019.
