Congratulations to the New Castle Boys’ Cross Country team on another outstanding season. By clinching the 2018 Undefeated Section Champion title for the third season in a row, our boys have now won twenty  four  consecutive dual meets. Throughout this season, they were victorious over twenty five other teams at the McDowell Invitational, thirty two teams at the Big Red Invitational, forty two  teams at the Sharpsville Blue Devil Invitational, and twenty teams at the Tri State Coaches Association Invitational. Additionally, the boys won the Midwestern Athletic Conference Championship (MAC) for a second consecutive time. They finished off a spectacular season during their WPIAL and State meets; they finished in 3rd place in the AA WPIAL Championships and 7th place in the AA State Championships. A special congratulations to Junior Anthony Litrenta, who placed 4th individually at WPIALs and 22nd at States!  Congratulations to both Coach Shaftic and Coach Harlen!!!
