Tyler Francis, Feature Editor

My brother Jordan, was in a traumatic car accident on November 22nd, 2015 at 1:00 pm. Jordan had many sustain injuries, but the worst ones was paralyzed from the chest down and injuring his spinal cord at the T-6 level. Today, Jordan’s main goal is to walk again. I have the honor and privilege of interviewing my brother about his story and journey.

Question: Tell us about the accident?

“Three years ago on this day, I was in the car with 5 passengers and did not have a seatbelt. My friend Austin (the driver) ran through a stop sign and wrecked his car on 422. We got hit by a truck with a trailer and Christmas tree on the back. The car flipped over three times and until then, another car hit us. I did not remember the car accident at all but medical reports said I was conscious and told first responders that I could not feel my legs. This was after my one friend Josh also became conscious and crawled out of a broken window because that was the only way out of the car. Josh saw me bloody up and blood everywhere so he went to go get help. They had to use the Jaws of Life to get me and two passengers out of the car.”
