Olivia Goodlin: A Bright Personality Holiday Edition Preview

I have recently had the opportunity to interview New Castle Cross Country and track participant Olivia Goodlin. In addition, Olivia is a junior, as well as, an honor roll student. I hope you enjoy the interview-Josh
Question: How did your season individually good this year?
Olivia: My season was very unfortunate, as I got hurt mid-season.
Question: How does it feel to be apart of a program that hasn’t won in 70 years?
Olivia: I never really cared that much about titles, I just run for the love and passion of the sport.
Question: What are some qualities of Coach Harlan?
Olivia: She’s loud, she’s encouraging, tough, motivational, and happy.
Question: During the season, what was your training regiment?
Olivia: We all trained every day but Sunday, and it would vary between hard, and easy workouts. I would also workout on my own to stay in shape.
Question: If you could listen to music while you run, what would you listen to?
Olivia: I like to listen to anything upbeat, so I don’t hear myself breathing.
Question: Throughout high school, who has been your favorite teacher and why?
Olivia: Mr.Mantinaos. He gives good life advice, and teaches in a way that no others can.
Question: Do you participate in any other extracurricular activities?
Olivia: I also do track.
Question: What advice would you give to the youth coming up now?
Olivia: Don’t procrastinate. Do what your teacher tells you.
Question: What are your plans after high school?
Olivia: Go to college, and become a pediatric oncologist.
Question: What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
Olivia: I participated in archery when I was younger.
Question: Favorite pre-meet snack?
Olivia: Granola Bar!
Question: Are you looking at any colleges?
Olivia: Duquense and Akron.
Question: How did you decompress after a long meet?
Olivia: I sleep.
