The New Castle Red Hurricanes went up against Knoch Saturday afternoon. With Knoch being the second seed, all odds were against the Hurricanes. However, that didn’t stop them and with a final score of 56-50, the Hurricanes took the win. Mike Wells and Sheldon Cox each scored 19 points along with Isiah Boice scoring 12. On Wednesday, February 26th, the Hurricanes will face Belle Vernon. Whoever wins on Wednesday will advance to the WPIAL finals. If New Castle wins, they will then be fighting for a 4-peat in the WPIAL finals.
