With the 9th Overall Pick of the 2021 NFL Draft the Denver Broncos Select…
March 29, 2021
The Broncos, after going 5-11 in the 2020-21 NFL season, ended up getting the No. 9 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. However, the question is, “Who do they select?”
After signing CB Ronald Darby to a 3 yr/30 million dollar deal and CB Kyle Fuller to a 1 year/9.5 million dollar deal, there is a clear CB1, CB2, and CB3 for the Denver Broncos 2021 season. Going into this draft, just about everyone thought the Denver Broncos would have their eyes locked in on the top corners in the draft Patrick Surtain and Caleb Farley. Now, after signing Ronald Darby and Kyle Fuller and picking up Von Miller’s contract for the 2021 season, what’s the biggest need for the Broncos in a tough AFC West? There still is one position on the Denver Broncos that has been struggling for years, and that is the quarterback. Drew Lock is going into his third year, and this is going to be the make or break it year for Lock. If the Broncos stick with Lock at QB1, then they are expecting him to have a 3rd year jump as the likes of Josh Allen. If they don’t stick with Lock, I’d keep my eyes on Justin Fields falling to No. 9 or Broncos selecting Mac Jones.
Another person Broncos fans should keep their eyes on is Micah Parsons. If the Broncos don’t select the listed picks, expect them to trade down in the 2021 draft and select a possible running back. Will the Broncos make a splash this 2021 season? Will their new defensive signings create No Fly Zone 2.0? We will all have to see when game 1 of the NFL season comes.
