Hometown Holiday is Back!

The Holidays are right around the corner, which means all the fun festive activities begin! The ¨Hometown Holiday Season¨ kicks off in downtown New Castle, PA on Saturday, November 20th starting at 3 pm with the annual Light Up Night parade.

The route will be marching down Croton Ave, crossing the bridge at the Riverwalk Park, down through the main veins of our downtown, through the diamond, and past the YMCA.

You can get your grub on before, during, or even after the parade! There will be some delicious food truck options including: Yo Mamma´s Kitchen, Smokin` Dave´s BBQ, and El Canelo. There will also be many amazing vendors joining the festival including: Two Fat Guys An Oven, Baked by Andrea, and a pop-up Winery by VentiSei.

There will also be free live music by Granview Soul in The Confluence and more live music in the diamond. Artist Hannah D´Egidio will be there to perform a holiday number in Spanish. Allyson R. Hood partners with Anton Louis Greeb for a holiday classic that will have the crowd singing!

Immediately following the parade you can join New Castle in a pop-up Family Festival, activities by Art & Education at the Hoyt Art Center, Sugar Plum Fairy Booth, and many more. All the kiddos will be able to see a special performance from Buddy The Elf from the New Castle Playhouse´s production of Elf The Musical.

Light Up Night will continue in front of the brand new 26 ft Christmas tree!! At 5:30, the town will have the tree lighting, followed by an amazing firework show. The whole town will be lit up for sure, leaving the town of New Castle talking about this special night for years to come!
