Every football fan knows about the King at the running back position, Derrick Henry. With his current season-ending injury, one specific running back stands out to me that might take him off his throne, and his name is Jonathan Taylor. With 1122 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns, this 2nd year running back out of the University of Wisconsin is making a campaign for MVP.

Can Jonathan Taylor really win MVP?

It might be unbelievable, as the last 9 MVPs have been at the quarterback position, but the last non- QB winning this esteemed reward was a running back as well, who was Adrian Peterson in 2012. With this year’s current quarterbacks being extremely inconsistent and Jonathan Taylor coming off of his best game, with 185 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns, he has a chance of making greatness this season as the Colt’s starting running back.
