How Well Do You Sleep?

Sleeping is probably one of the greatest things a human can ever experience. It’s a time in your day when you can just relax. Especially after a long day at work. You get home and see your comfy bed with the most perfect amount of pillows. As well as the softest blankets and sheets that smell of flowers and fresh air. You dream of this moment all day.
Finally, you climb into bed and wait for the slumber to take over you. But, it doesn’t. Your mind is still going and going, thinking about everything else in the world. Instead, you just decide to lounge around, play on your phone, or occupy your mind, with anything other than sleeping. You know you’re tired, but for some reason, you just aren’t able to sleep.
You do this until it becomes very late, causing you to only get 4-5 hours of sleep for the next day. This then becomes a routine for the rest of the week, which is not good. It’s hard to be yourself when you lack sleep. This is something called insomnia.
Insomnia is the inability to fall asleep or stay asleep at night. This is a very common problem in many humans, so do not think you’re alone! Insomnia takes a toll on your energy, mood, and ability to function during the day. Chronic Insomnia can even contribute to serious health problems. There are many ways to help with insomnia. You can do therapies, self-care, medications, and more. For example, a lot of people use sleeping pills, otherwise known as melatonin. Melatonin comes in many forms, so it can be an option for everyone. Also, meditation, before you sleep, may work as well. Doing some deep breathing may relax your mind enough to fall asleep.
