2023 NFL Playoffs: Conference Championships
January 24, 2023
Sunday, January 29, 2022:
The first Conference Championship being played will be the NFC Championship being played in Philadelphia, where the San Francisco 49ers will travel east to play the Eagles. The Eagles play for their 4th NFC Championship, where they won the Super Bowl in 2018. The Eagles come into this game as the 1 seed at a 14-3 record. The 49ers play for their 8th NFC Championship, where they have won the Super Bowl 5 times. They come into this game with a 13-4 record and they will start rookie QB Brock Purdy. The NFC Championship will be played at 3:00 p.m. on FOX.
The AFC Championship game will be played in Kansas City, where the Chiefs will take on Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals. Kansas City will play for their 3rd AFC Championship game, where they beat the 49ers in 2019 to win one of their Super Bowls. They come in as the 1 seed with a 14-3 record. Cincinnati will play for their 4th AFC Championship. The Bengals come in as the 3 seed finishing the season with a 12-4 record, of course playing one less game after their week 17 game vs. the Bills did not get restarted. So far, playing one less game has not negatively affected this team. The AFC Championship will be played at 6:30 p.m. on CBS.
The winner of each game will play in the Super Bowl. What is your ideal matchup, Canes?
