Chis Cornell was the lead singer of Soundgarden. Cornell was born in July 1964 and passed away in May 2017. Cornell was involved in the musis scene in the 1990’s and had an important influence on the grudge scene. Soundgarden won a Grammy for the song “Fell on Black Days”.
Jim Nabors, TV’s Gomer Plye was 87. Nabors career began in 1962 on the “Andy Griffith Show”and his character spun into the Gomer Plyle series in 1964. He became a favorite on television for his favorite “Shazam” and “Gawwwleee” catchphrases. Nabors also recorded many albums- including gospel, country, and recording ballads.
Malcom Young AC/DC guitarist and co founder passed away at 64. This iconic band was founded with his brother Angus Young in 1973. AC/DC was inducted in the the Rock and Roll hall of Fame in 2003. In addition, the band has sold over 110,000,000 albums world-wide.
David Cassidy was a successful actor, singer and teen heartthrob best remembered for his role as Keith Partridge in the 1970’s “The Partridge Family”. Cassidy had a very successful solo career as well as recording six albums “the Partridge Family”. They scored a number one hit with the song “I Think I Love You”. David Cassidy was born in 1950 and passed away in 2017.
Chuck Berry was an iconic figure in the history of rock n roll. Berry is indeed a rock pioneer with classic songs like “Roll Over Beethoven” and “Johnny B. Goode “. His signature guitar licks and performance made him a natural inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. Berry was 90 years old when he died at his home in Wentzville, Missouri.
