I recently discovered that Mr. Mancino has recently announced his engagement.  To that end, I wanted to explore the history of the engagement ring,  as well as,  to meet with Mr. Rick Mancino for an exclusive interview.

The engagement ring has been a symbol of dedication, commitment and love.  Indeed, the history of the engagement ring goes back to ancient times.  The engagement ring originated in  Egypt was said to symbolize an eternal cycle of love and life.  The ring was worn on the fourth finger of the left hand.  It was believed that the vein from the left hand went straight to the heart.  By the 1930’s, in the United States,  the diamond engagement ring became a popular symbol to make the promise of lasting and eternal love.  De Beers Consolidated Diamond Minds led the charge  in the 1930’s to enhance sales of the engagement ring.  Wholesale diamond sales in the United States has increased from $23 million to $2.1 billion.

I recently discovered that Mr. Mancino has recently announced his engagement.  To that end, I wanted to explore the history of the engagement ring,  as well as,  to meet with Mr. Rick Mancino for an exclusive interview.

How did you propose?

I just decided after reflecting on  the situation, it was the right thing to do.

What is her name and was she suprised?

Karen and she was beyond surprised!!

Do you know where/when you want to get married?

We haven’t set a date but  we would prefer a tropical climate  with a beach.

Honeymoon: where, Why?

Not finalized however, we would prefer a tropical climate, we both love the beach.

When did you know you wanted to get married?

I just knew she was the “one”.

How did you know she was “the one”

“I just knew….. ”

How did you know which engagement ring to purchase?

I did some online shopping and the kids (Luke and Jordan) helped me with her jewelry style.  We visited many jewelry stores and made the final choice at Bruno’s Jewelry Store.

What does marriage mean to you?

“Commitment” to one person forever!

Do you have any other advice for others regarding marriage?

I haven’t had enough experience to give advice.
