New Castle’s Cross Country team possesses some of the most athletic, mentally and physically strong, competitive students present in our school today. As these athletes are in the midst of their season, it is clear that they are prevailing in every aspect.

These athletes work extremely hard, practicing almost every day of the week despite tolling weather,outside activities, and their extremely busy schedules. Our current top 7 girls consist of Grace Goodlin, Abby Ambrosini, Anna Blundo, Madison Soukovich, Marissa Polding, Olivia Goodlin, and Nina Reider. Zoey Ondako as well as Abby Schaubroeck are two other key members who typically are included in the top 7, but are unfortunately currently facing an injury.

Our unstoppable boys’ team is currently undefeated, dominating every race in which they participate in. The top 7 boys include Anthony Litrenta, Jonah Miller, Andre Corbin, D’angelo Paxtot, Ryan Hunyadi, Gavin Hansott.

The team’s upcoming meet is of extreme importance, for it determines their place in WPIAL’s for this season! Let’s continue to support this amazing team at Cal U this Saturday!
