The belief that there is another intelligent life beyond the earth is very controversial. Some say that it is impossible that there are so much space and no intelligent life besides here on earth. Others say that there is no way there is “something or someone else”. It is also a very controversial belief that these intelligent life forms visit our planet. Many people have made claims of seeing these “aliens” and their U.F.O. traveling into the earth’s atmosphere.

A very popular source that suggests that aliens and U.F.O. may be real is Project Blue Book. Project Blue Book is an air force report and investigation of Unidentified Flying Objects. They investigated sighting that people would report to them to find out if they are real or fake. They would also go and research materials that were found and supposedly the result of a U.F.O. crash. Project Blue Book was quickly terminated. The reasoning for this, as so the Secretary of Defense, says, that scientific researched proved that this was a simple waste of the government’s money.

One faculty member at NCASD claimed that he has seen a U.F.O. This teacher is Mr. Abraham who claimed that he was on a commercial airliner and was being followed by what he suspected was a U.F.O.

Q: Where did you see the U.F.O.?

A: On a transatlantic flight from Heathrow Airport in London to John F Kennedy Airport in New York City (April 1970).

Q: Did anyone else see it or was it just you?

A: It was just me. Everyone else on the plane was sleeping and I did not want to wake anyone up. At first, I thought it was not real!

Q: Why do you believe that this was a U.F.O. and not just another plane?

A: We were flying at 35,000 feet and I saw the U.F.O. fly up above us every once in a while. Planes did not fly above 35,000 feet in 1970. Also, it was way to close to the plane to be another commercial airliner or military flight.

Q: How old were you?

A:  Twelve years old!

Q: Were you interested in U.F.O. before this incident?

A: I would say yes, but I did not put in enough research to be an “expert” in this field. After this happened I did some research and became fascinated. One of the books that I read was Project Blue Book which really convinced me that I saw something, not of this earth.

After doing research for this article, I found it fascinating that many famous people have seen a UFO.  President Jimmy Carter, Astronaut Buzz Aldrin, and many Airline Pilots have seen UFO’sthroughoutt the past fifty years.   These individuals have provided significant details and testimony verifying that their experiences are indeed credible. For there is one certainty it is very difficult to determine if it is FACT or FICTION.-Logan
