Seven Questions with Defensive Tackle Lucas Prowell
Lucas Prowell is number 57 for the New Castle varsity football team. Lucas is a student-athlete, affable, and defensive tackle for our football team. I recently had the opportunity to speak with him about this season. I hope you enjoy my interview.
Q: What is it like to be a football player and having to work around your school schedule?
Lucas: I make sure my school work is finished, then I take football into consideration after my school work is done.
Q: Do you have a song that you listen to, to get pumped or motivated before the game?
Lucas: Yes I have a playlist, it’s called “SAVAGE SEASON”.
Q: How does the aftermath of getting tackled and bruised feel?
Lucas: It doesn’t feel like anything. You actually get used to it.
Q: On a scale of 1-10, how upset do you get when a teammate misses an assignment (play)?
Lucas: I stay calm, everyone makes mistakes.
Q: Do you have good sportsmanship?
Lucas: Great! You have to set an example.
Q: Is there something that you wish you could change as a student-athlete?
Lucas: More time for homework!
Q:If there was another position open and you have never played it before would you take the offer?
Lucas: No. I’m superior in my position, I am in a good place.
We wish Lucas the best of luck this season, on the field, and in the classroom.
