Halloween in Quarantine

Halloween+in+Quarantine

It is officially October which means it is time for Halloween. With the coronavirus still causing us to quarantine, people who love Halloween are worried it might be ruined. Trick or treating, haunted houses, and costume parties will be affected this year. In our town, we still are not sure if we are able to do trick or treating yet. Kids walking from house to house and candy being passed out by different people can cause the spread of a lot of germs. It will be hard to host Halloween parties with the social distancing rules, not knowing if people may be carrying and spreading the virus. I have provided a list of some fun and safe activities for you to do to still have fun this Halloween.

  • Movie night with family- Some of my favorite Halloween movies to watch are Hocus Pocus, Scream, Ghostbusters, Casper, Halloween Town, and The Shining.

  • Virtual costume party- You and your friends can dress up in costumes and go on a zoom call to show off your outfits.

  • Binge-watch tv shows- Some creepy tv series to watch on Netflix are American Horror Story, Goosebumps, The Haunting of Hill House, and Sabrina.

  • Decorate your house- You and your family can decorate the inside and outside of your house Halloween themed with decorations.

  • Haunted houses- Some haunted houses are still open so you can go and social distance while wearing a mask. Some places are even having a haunted drive-thru where you can stay inside the car while getting scared by the people dressed up.

  • Host your own Halloween party- You can have your own little party with your family or close friends. You can make cookies, wear matching Halloween pajamas, and watch movies while eating candy.

  • Carve pumpkins- You and your family can go pick pumpkins and go home to carve them to set outside your house.
