Heartbreak was felt threw out the entire US was felt after the national soccer team failed to qualify for the World Cup for the first time since 1986. This loss came from the already defeated Trinidad and Tobago the team that lost eight of nine previous games. This is a huge failure within the United States Soccer team. Soccer is a secondary sport in the us compared to sports like football, basketball and hockey this takes athletes away from the soccer scene and into a more popular us sport. As a result of this the United States soccer teams have been underwhelming for the most part.

There have been some exceptions like the woman us soccer team winning it all only a few years ago. Indeed, Soccer (Football) is the most popular sport in the world. everywhere but the United States. This lack of popularity in the United States may been detrimental to this team.   Overall,the United States Men’s National Soccer Team has a lot room for improvement. Fans throughout the Unites States are hoping for a turn around in the near future.
