Westminister College is going to be the home of the new Netflix movie, The Pale Blue Eye. The movie is based on the 2006 Louis Bayard horror novel, but this time new stars will be taking over the roles.

The plot of The Pale Blue Eye revolves around a series of murders that took place in 1830 at the U.S. Military Academy West Point. A retired police detective by the name of Augustus Landor, played by Academy Award winner Christian Bale, attempts to solve these mysteries with the help of a young West Point Cadet named Edgar Allen Poe, and yes, THE Edgar Allen Poe. Poe will be played by another Academy Award winner Harry Melling, who is best known for his role in the Harry Potter films, as Dudley Dursley.

The movie will be utilizing Westminister’s termed “gothic-style buildings” to portray its horror theme. The main filming spots in the college will be at the center quad, Old Main, McGill Library, and Browne and Ferguson halls.

Some other stars in the cast also include four-time Golden Globe winner Robert Duvall, who played a major supporting role in the movie The Godfather, and Lucy Boyton, who is known for her role in the movie Bohemian Rhapsody. Both of their roles have not been announced yet.

Although some may be eager to watch this new film, production has only recently just begun and The Pale Blue Eye is set to release near the end of 2022, and even as early as 2023.

Keep on the lookout Canes, for this new Netflix movie!
