If you always wanted to start a healthy habit, the time is now Canes! Going into the new year is always a good time to start fresh.

A healthy habit is any activity or behavior that can benefit your physical, mental, or emotional well-being. It’s not hard to build healthy, positive activities in your life.  No matter how old you are or how bad your former habits have been, you can systematically introduce small changes into what you do daily. Developing healthy habits now will ensure that you not only live longer but live well.

Start with these Healthy Tips:

  1. Maintain Healthy Food Habits
  2. Create Good Hygiene
  3. Get Enough Sleep
  4. Develop Habits like Reading and Staying off Social Media
  5. Stay Active and Physical
  6. Family Togetherness
  7. Always Eat Breakfast
  8. Drink 1 Extra Glass of Water a Day

Healthy Food Choices: 

  1. Fruits- Apples, pears, citrus fruits, and berries
  2. Herbs- Oregano, rosemary, thyme, and basil
  3. Whole Grains- Oats, wild rice, and buckwheat
  4. Nuts- Walnuts, almonds, and brazils
  5. Vegetables- Spinach, carrots, beets, and broccoli
  6. Meats- Lean protein, chicken, ground turkey, seafood (grilled shrimp)
  7. Eggs or egg whites
