Depending on your personal needs, how you exercise can be very important.  Whether you play soccer, baseball, or you are in the band, being in shape is an awesome feeling. Even if you don’t play any sports, you can still find ways to stay active and stay in shape. Making sure you stay healthy is a necessity for a long and healthy life.  This article focuses on a few sports you can play to stay active, stay in shape, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Tennis/Badminton

Tennis is a very physically demanding sport.  Not only do tennis players need longevity to last a long match, but they also need to be able to sprint in order to cover the length of the tennis court.  Tennis players also need strength in order to add velocity to their shots. Casually playing tennis can have enormous health benefits. It can build up your aerobic, and anaerobic fitness levels.

Soccer

Soccer is an extremely active sport. The sport is about 90% running and 10% walking. Soccer is a very fast sport that keeps you moving constantly. Soccer games last for 90 minutes. Soccer players must be in decent shape to last the whole game. The game is quick and you don’t really get a break. There are no timeouts in this game. Although soccer may be difficult because it requires a lot of running, it is a very good sport to play to keep in shape and build great stamina.

Running

Running is a great exercise.  Running can help develop your lungs, burn the most amount of calories, and make your legs stronger.  However, running can wear your body down.  Running in the cold weather is very hard because it makes it harder to breathe.  Running is simple, it is the one thing you really have to focus on, just run. You can just run and not have to worry about hitting a ball or putting a ball in a net.

Football/Basketball/Hockey

These sports are physically demanding. These sports may wear your body down over a series of time.  You have a great chance for injury when playing these sports too. These certain sports demand speed, great agility, quick movements, and great focus. There is also a great strategy in these particular sports. There are many rules you have to be sure to learn. Although these sports are extremely fun to play, be sure you are ready for a tough workout! Although you are able to get a few breaks during these sports, all of these sports are very physically demanding.
