We hope you all had a great St. Patrick’s Day Canes!

St. Patrick’s day is a cultural and religious celebration held on the 17th of March every year. The traditional death date of Saint Patrick was made an official Christian feast day in the early 17th hundreds and was observed by Catholic churches. To this day many people celebrate the arrival of Christianity in Ireland and also celebrate the culture of Ireland. Most people who celebrate are of Irish descent, but in recent traditions, many people worldwide joke that they are “Irish” for the day in order to celebrate with a certain culture.

Most celebrations include public parades, drinking green drinks, eating delicious Irish foods (Corned beef and potatoes), and wearing green attire or shamrocks.

Pittsburgh has one of the biggest St. Patrick’s day celebrations that include a parade, many vendors, Irish foods, and drinks. This year the celebration was able to happen because the last two years were canceled due to Covid.

Hope you all had a great St. Patrick’s Day and we hope you were able to wear green!
