Canes Baseball Year to Start

Canes+Baseball+Year+to+Start

The Canes won their first game last Tuesday vs Ambridge, taking the game 7-6.  The following Friday, Canes took a loss 4-2.  Anthony Miller led the Canes with extra-base hits in both of these games.

The week before, the Canes dropped both games against Beaver, losing 9-5 and 11-1.

The Canes’ current record is 1-3, which may not look very good.  However, the Canes didn’t get off to the hottest start last year and still won the State Championship.  Give this team time to figure out their identity, because when they do they are going to be a tough team to stop.

A Word from a Few Players:

From right fielder Malik Jefferson- I think we’re still trying to find ourselves.  The season is starting slow, but we will pick up soon.

From infielder Josh Work- The season is not going the way we like it starting off 1-3 is tough.  I feel as soon as we get our feet under us we will get rolling and should have another successful season.

From shortstop/DH Anthony Miller- We are off to a shaky start, once we bounce back and come together, we will be fine.

Get out to see this team play! Good luck in your season Canes!
