History of Pac-Man Throwback Gaming

Pac-Man was created by a Japanese game designer Toru Iwatani in 1980. The game was credited with being a landmark for “The most popular arcade game in history”. Pac-man was one of the first arcade games on the market to be put into an arcade and it instantly became a marvelous sensation. Many “knock-off” versions of Pac-Man have been released since the games original release, including the surprisingly successful Ms. Pac-Man.
Pac-Man has had more than 30 spin-offs including Pac-Mania, Pac-Man Holding Cell, and Pac-Man arrangement. Pac-Man was an iconic game originally, but all the rip off games that were created by other companies did not do as successful as the original and almost ruined the Pac-Man series.
When entering an arcade in the 1980s the line to play Pac-Man was longer than the building itself. The game revolutionized arcades and games in general.
