New English Teacher!

It’s not a topic anyone wants to talk about, in May 2022 New Castle High School experienced the loss of Mr. Kosciuszko a Sr. High English teacher. During this time Mr. Gibson, a 2019 NC graduate is filling in for the remainder of the year. I had the opportunity to interview him for our Senior/Summer Edition.

Where did you go to college?
I went to college at Slippery Rock University.
Have you always had a passion for teaching?
I’ve probably always had a passion for teaching, but I really recognized it early during my high school career.
What would you rate your experience teaching so far?
If I had to rate it out of 10, I’d say probably a 20. I wake up every day and it feels like Christmas, just because of how much I’m enjoying what I do.
Do you plan on staying at New Castle High School long-term?
At the moment, staying here is possible and reasonably likely. Still, nothing is guaranteed, so we’ll all just have to see what happens.
