It is now Week 3 and there were not very many close games this week. A somewhat interesting game with BYU trailing by two touchdowns in the 4th quarter. Oregon had the ball but Ty Thompson threw an interception to Ben Bywater. BYU had the ball but couldn’t get another touchdown. Oregon was able to kick a field goal to get 3 more points. Oregon’s quarterback Bo Nix threw for 222 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 35 yards and had 3 rushing touchdowns. Their running back MarKeise Irving rushed for 97 yards. BYU’s quarterback Jaren Hall threw for 305 yards which is more than Oregon, he also threw 2 touchdowns. He also rushed for 19 yards. Their running back Christopher Brown Jr rushed for 28 yards and one touchdown. Oregon won 41-20.

Liberty and Wake Forest had a great game but early on Wake Forest was doing great, but Liberty came back but wasn’t able to win. Wake Forest didn’t have very many rushing yards with only 21 yards. This game had a combined 5 interceptions with Liberty having 3 and Wake Forest having 2. Liberty’s quarterback Kaidon Salter threw for 256 yards with 2 touchdowns. He also rushed for 77 yards and rushed for one touchdown. Their running back Dae Dae Hunter rushed for 93 yards and one touchdown. Wake Forest’s quarterback Sam Hartman threw for 325 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was the team’s leading rusher with 11 yards. Wake Forest’s star receiver, Ke’Shawn Williams recorded 129 for 5 catches. Their kicker Matthew Dennis was able to kick 3 field goals combined with 4 extra points so he also helped them score a lot of points. Both teams looked very strong in this game but it came down to Wake Forest winning 37-36.

Michigan State played Washington on Saturday. They were both undefeated going into this game. Michigan tried to come back in the 4th quarter but was not able to. Michigan’s quarterback Payton Thorne threw an interception to Julius Irvin. Thorne threw for 323 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also rushed for 12 yards. Their receiver Keon Coleman recorded 9 catches for 116 yards and two touchdowns. Tre Mosley recorded 5 catches for 64 yards and one touchdown. Washington’s quarterback Michael Penix Jr, threw for 397 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also rushed for 4 yards. Their running back Cameron Davis rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown. Washington’s star receiver Ja’Lynn Polk recorded 6 catches for 153 yards and 3 touchdowns. Jalen McMillan recorded 7 catches for 94 yards. Both teams were very strong but in the end, it was Washington taking the win and staying undefeated. The final score was 28-39.
