Teens need 8 to 10 hours of sleep each night. It is important to make sure you get enough sleep at night. It is easy to stay up all night watching movies, playing video games, or eating junk food, however that is not good for your body! Sleep helps keep your mind and body healthy! It is much needed daily! There are many benefits to getting great sleep at night, and also getting the right amount.

  • You will maintain a healthy weight
  • Getting sleep, lowers your risk for serious health problems, like diabetes and heart disease
  • It reduces stress and improves your mood
  • Helps you think more clearly and do better in school
  • Helps you do better in your job and career
  • Improves your mood to help get along better with people
  • It helps you make good decisions and avoid injuries — for example, drowsy drivers cause thousands of car accidents every year
