Hey Canes! Similar to my last article. There are the best songs for Winter! There will be a playlist of all the songs at the bottom. These songs will make you want to curl up under a warm blanket and watch the snowfall. Enjoy the tunes Canes!

~

Heather- Conan Gray

A song that came out during quarantine! It’s cool and calming, with just a hint of angst.

“Why would you ever kiss me? I’m not even half as pretty”

~

Honey and Tea (Acoustic Version)-  Mōzi

Honey and Tea is a soft song. It’s a song about love with that faint winter tinge that we all love.

“Me and you we go together like honey and tea”

~

I Feel Better- Novo Amor

I Feel Better gives some late 80’s vibes to the playlist, the synth brings the vibes in perfectly.

“I feel better, most of the time. Just tell me that it’s alright, and I’ll be fine.”

~

Everybody Wants to Rule the World- Tears for Fears

An actual 80’s song this time, it gives a happy note to the playlist and makes the playlist pop!

“Most of freedom and of pleasure, nothing ever lasts forever. Everybody wants to rule the world.”

~

Slipping Through My Fingers- ABBA

I honestly don’t think I could get out of putting at least one ABBA song on any playlist. Slipping Through My Fingers is an honestly iconic song and perfectly encapsulates winter.

“That funny little girl, slipping through my fingers all the time. I try to capture every minute.”

~

Golden- Harry Styles

This song was put on the playlist for two reasons, a tribute to a friend and for the vibes. The opening almost feels like snow falling and building layers.

“You’re so golden. I’m out of my head, and I know that you’re scared because hearts get broken.”

~

Almost Home- Mxmtoon

Almost Home feels like the drive home on Christmas eve after hanging out with family. It talks about growing up and watching your life pass by.

“And my momma says, ‘Just close your eyes, soon we’ll be home, fall asleep to the radio'”

~

Bubble Gum- Clairo

Bubble Gum is a song full of angst, but it has the sweet taste of love (and bubblegum!). It compares the, assumed, relationship to swallowing bubblegum.

“Cause I swallowed the bubble gum, Oh, and these seven years will be pretty dumb.”

~

Snow- Ricky Montgomery

Of course, there’s at least one song named Snow, but this one describes love and death. Ricky Montgomery truly exploded over quarantine, and all of his songs are amazing.

“When I go, bury me six feet in the snow.”

~

Two- Sleeping at Last

Ending on an angsty note, Two is a beautiful song about caring for one another. I truly think everyone should listen to Two at least once in their life.

“Like a force to be reckoned with, a mighty ocean or a gentle kiss, I will love you with every single thing I have.”
