The winter season can be a rough time of year for your body. If you are not taking the proper steps to stay hydrated, your body can be significantly affected.

Dehydration in the body can lead to joint pain, poor sleeping habits, irregular body temperature, and skin irritation. Dehydration can also stunt your body’s ability to fight off illness.

The best ways of staying hydrated are drinking lots of water and eating fresh vegetables. The body uses the water you drink and nutrients from fresh plants to sustain bodily functions like; kidney and liver function, energy preservation, and heart health.

The human body should be getting four to six cups of water each day. However, it is recommended that the intake of fluids range from fifteen cups per day. Fluid intake is not limited to only drinking water, but by eating fruits and vegetables.

Another way to stay hydrated is by using good moisturizers and skin products. This will help the body from the harsh, cold temperatures that irritate the skin.

There are long-term benefits to drinking water. These include; an improved digestive system, blood flow, temperature regulation, and nervous system.
