NFL Week 3 Highlights

There were a few upsets in the NFL for Week 3. It’s been an interesting season so far. The Lions, Seahawks, and Colts are looking like better teams this year than last year. The Chargers and Vikings had a thrilling game but a late touchdown in the 4th quarter gave the Chargers the win Against the Vikings 28-24. Justin Herbert threw for 405 yards and three touchdowns. He rushed for 11 yards. Keenan Allen recorded 215 receiving yards and threw a 49 yard touchdown pass. Kirk Cousins threw for 367 yards and three touchdowns. He threw one interception. Alexander Mattison rushed for 93 yards. 

The Broncos continued their struggles as the Dolphins beat them 20-70. The Dolphins almost beat the record for most points in a game which is 72 held by Washington. Tua Tagovailoa threw for 309 yards and 4 touchdowns. Rookie De’Von Achane rushed for 203 yards and two touchdowns. Raheem Mostert rushed for 82 yards and three touchdowns. Tyreek Hill caught nine passes for 157 yards and one touchdown. Russel Wilson threw for 306 yards and one touchdown. Javonte Williams rushed for 42 yards.

The Colts and Ravens went into Overtime when Justin Tucker missed a game-winning field goal for the Ravens. After two possessions for both teams, the Ravens went for it on 4th down and Zay Flowers missed a catch on a play that should’ve been flagged for holding by EJ Speed on Zay Flowers but no flags were thrown. The Colts kicked the field goal to win 22-19.  Gardner Minshew threw for 227 yards and one touchdown. Zack Moss rushed for 122 yards. Lamar Jackson threw for 202 yards. He was the team’s lead rusher with 101 yards and two touchdowns. Gus Edwards and Melvin Gordon rushed for a combined 83 yards. 

The Cardinals upset the Cowboys by beating them 16-28. Joshua Dobbs threw for 189 yards and one touchdown. He rushed for 55 yards. James Conner rushed for 98 yards and one touchdown. Rondale Moore rushed for 54 yards and one touchdown. Dak Prescott threw for 249 yards and one touchdown. He threw one interception and rushed for 24 yards. Tony Pollard rushed for 122 yards. 

The Steelers beat the Raiders on Sunday night 23-18 with a late interception by the Steelers to get the win. Kenny Pickett threw for 235 yards and two touchdowns. Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren rushed for a combined 94 yards. Jimmy Garoppolo threw for 324 yards and two touchdowns. He threw three costly interceptions. Josh Jaocbs rushed for 62 yards. Davante Adams had 13 catches for 172 yards and two touchdowns.
