- Talk to your teacher & ask questions—Asking the teacher a question can benefit you in many ways. It can help you if you are confused about a question. I always make sure to ask the teacher a question when I am confused or don’t know how to answer the question
- Test yourself—Create a deck of flashcards every time you learn new information. Put the questions on one side and the answers on the other side. You could even ask your friend to quiz you.
- Study with a group—Encourage members to think creatively and build strong communication skills which also helps in refining understanding of the material
- Find a good place to study— Finding a good location to study is one of the most important steps to studying. Look for a quiet place where you can focus easily on the material.
- Take care of yourself—Make sure you get enough rest so your brain is prepared to retain the material. Studies have linked sleep deprivation to reduced attention spans and doing worse on tests, with a lack of rest. Everybody’s sleep needs are different, but people typically need between seven and eight-and-a-half hours of sleep a night. Plus, getting more sleep can make you happier and benefit your social life.
