NFL Week 9 Highlights

NFL+Week+9+Highlights

The NFL is now halfway through the regular season. The Lions and Ravens have taken big steps from last season. The Bills and Chiefs haven’t been as strong. Here are my current Power Rankings after Week 9.

The Steelers beat the Titans at home on Thursday night after a late interception. They won 16-20. Rookie quarterback Will Levis threw for 262 yards and one interception. Derrick Henry rushed for 75 yards and one touchdown. Kenny Pickett threw for 160 yards and one touchdown. Jaylen Warren and Najee Harris rushed for 157 total yards with Harris rushing for one touchdown. 

The Vikings quarterback, Kirk Cousins tore his Achilles last week so he is out for the season. Jaren Hall got the start against the Falcons but got injured early after a bad hit caused a concussion. Joshua Dobbs stepped in. He threw for 178 yards and two touchdowns. He was the lead rusher with 66 yards and one touchdown. Alexander Mattison rushed for 44 yards. Taylor Heinicke threw for 268 yards and one touchdown. He rushed for 20 yards and threw one interception. Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier rushed for 90 total yards with Allgeier rushing for one touchdown. The Vikings won 31-28.

The Buccaneers and Texans battled a tough game on Sunday. Baker Mayfield threw a touchdown with 46 seconds left in the game but the Texans went down the field and scored the game-winning touchdown. The Texans won 37-39. Baker Mayfield threw for 265 yards and two touchdowns. Rachaad White rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns. CJ Stroud threw for 470 yards and five touchdowns. He is in contention for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Devin Singletary rushed for 26 yards.

The Seahawks went into Baltimore looking to beat the Ravens. It was a close game until after the 2nd quarter and the Ravens won 3-37. Geno Smith threw for 157 yards and threw one interception. Kenneth Walker rushed for 16 yards. The Ravens defense shut down the Seahawks running game. Lamar Jackson threw for 187 yards and rushed for 60 yards. Rookie running back Keaton Mitchell rushed for 138 yards and one touchdown. Gus Edwards rushed for 52 yards and two touchdowns. The Ravens had 298 total rushing yards.

The Cowboys and Eagles have shown to be really strong teams this season. The Cowboys have had some bad losses but they have been winning. The Eagles beat them 23-28. Dak Prescott threw for 374 yards and three touchdowns. Tony Pollard rushed for 51 yards. Jalen Hurts threw for 207 yards and two touchdowns. He rushed for 36 yards and one touchdown. D’Andre Swift rushed for 43 yards.
