ABBA is a Swedish pop group that has successfully made many classic songs through their time as a pop group. From 1974 to 1982 they had won many different comp,etitions and topped the charts in many english speaking countries such as the United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States. The group consisted of two couples in the beginning, Agnetha Fälksog,  Björn Ulvaeus,  Anni-frid Lyngstad and Benny Andersson, making the name ABBA. An acronym of their names put together.

As you probably know they also wrote the song Mamma Mia and our very own New Castle High School theater group is putting on a production of Mamma Mia this Spring. Abba also wrote other classics such as The Dancing Queen and Waterloo. Their music had captivated Pop and theater culture for years. Abba in my opinion is considered legendary with their songs playing in your head forever.  ABBA has estimated sales of over 400,000,000 million records-making them one of the most popular groups of all time.
