Cascade Park is a staple in the town of New Castle, PA. This wonderful park has been a part of New Castle for many years! As a tradition, they hold many kinds of events and functions for our school and others around town.
Homecoming Dances, Weddings, and Events
The pavilion has held many Homecoming Dances for all schools. The dance hall is a nice place to also have weddings and other events. The pavilion has been a part of Cascade for many years and was once the largest in Pennsylvania. Even during the 1930’s, dances in the pavilion helped the park to survive hard times.
Cascade of Lights
During the Holiday Season, Cascade Park turns into the Cascade of Lights. This year cascade hosts their annual Christmas lights starting December 1st from 6:00 pm- 9:00 pm. At only $5 per car (Cash only) bring out the family. There is rarely a wait, check it out!
Bocce Courts
Cascade often holds the bocce tournaments in the summer. Come out and watch the tournaments. The dates are August 2nd-4th for the four person tournament and June 15th for the three person championship. Get to the courts to check it out.
Nina’s Ice
Nina’s Ice is another staple in the park. Nina’s ice is sold in the hot summer months. Stop by to enjoy some refreshing flavored ice. They have some flavors such as cherry, lemon, mango, rootbeer, and a town favorite cotton candy. Nina’s Ice is owned by Anthony Dithomas of New Castle. Make sure you take some time to get there and check it out.
