The Eye Of The Hurricane will be hosting an “ESPN Night” during the Girls’ Varsity Basketball game vs. North Hills (Pittsburgh, PA).
What is ESPN Night?
ESPN Night first saw the center stage last year at a Boys’ Varsity Basketball game. During ESPN night, the Eye Of The Hurricane covers the game like how ESPN would cover an NBA or WNBA game.
What Will Be at the Game?
During the game, the students of the school newspaper will be conducting interviews throughout the entire game. The students from the video productions class will be recording the game/interview. Finally, students from the yearbook will be taking pictures to put in the school yearbook. Also, a halftime contest will be taking place. Three New Castle students will be picked to shoot 3 different shots. The first shot is a layup, the 2nd shot is a free throw shot, and the 3rd shot is a 3 point shot from the 3 point line. A student who gets only 1 shot will receive a Cane’s Cup and candy. A student who gets 2 shots will receive a Cane’s Mini basketball and candy. A student who gets all 3 shots will receive a gift card. Last year, Kaevon Gardner sunk all 3 shots.
What Time is The Game?
The game is going to be on Thursday February 1st at 6:30pm.
We hope to see you there supporting our Girls’ Varsity Basketball team.
