Basketball season is here and I got the opportunity to ask our high school basketball Coach Kara a few questions about herself and the team. 

Where did you go to high school and/or college? “New Castle High School and Westminster College”

 What is your favorite thing about being the head coach of our girls basketball team? “Having the ability to witness and directly influence the growth and development of each student athlete on a personal and athletic level.”

 Are there any other teams you have coached for? “New Castle & Sharon”

What is the most challenging thing about being a head coach? “Creating a positive & cohesive team culture with players of varying personalities and skill levels.”

Is there anything you do to get your players motivated for their games? “We set clear goals before our games, encourage teamwork and provide positive feedback always! Encourage each student-athlete to give 110% & give your all for the TEAM.”

 How do you feel about this upcoming season? “Feeling very positive and excited to get    started & to watch our teams hard work and dedication pay off all season long!”
