Lindsay Frabotta, New Castle High School junior, qualified for the WPIAL girls golf championship on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the Triple AAA District Qualifiers at Conley Resort Golf Course. With the qualification score being 90, Frabotta handily qualified by scoring 86 on 18 holes. She is the only female player on the New Castle golf team and one of only three female high school golfers in the Lawrence County area. She consistently plays, scores, and ranks in the top 5 of the New Castle team. Lindsay will advance to the next round of the WPIAL girls golf championship on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Diamond Run Golf Club.
