Derrick Rose is currently a point guard on the Minnesota Timber wolves. He was the NBA’s MVP in 2011, but unfortunately he suffered a season ending meniscus tear in his right knee. This meniscus tear has been reoccurring ever since that day. As a result of the repetitive injury, his playing style has never been the same since. But this season, he has overcame the injury and is showing parts of his past stardom once again.

On October 31, 2018 Rose dropped a career high 50 points against the Utah Jazz. He was 19-31 in the field during this extraordinary performance. Many of his fellow NBA players and teammates congratulated him on such a stellar performance on Twitter. Ben Simmons, Lebron James, and Demarcus Cousins were some of the NBA players to congratulate him.

A few weeks after, Derrick Rose dropped 7 three pointers in one game. This was the new record for the Minnesota Timberwolves. These are just glimpses of the legends prime coming back to him. He is proving his dominance in the league through these performances. More games like this will shake the league standings and possibly even make the Timberwolves a powerhouse in the NBA.
